Through the disruption and chaos that
befell the men on Bataan and Corregidor, those that were able strove to keep
and maintain what records they could of their units. This is one such
record, of the 7th Material Squadron, kept by then S/Sgt Francis Stuckey.
Most likely it is the combined effort of several men as they struggled
to document the fate of their fellow soldiers. Sgt. Stuckey was one
of several men of the 7th Material shipped to Camp Hoten, Mukden, China in
October of 1942 and so there is a common notation, "ok in Cabanatuan Oct.
42", the last time any of those in China saw their buddies in the Philippines
until the war was over. Some of the entries were made at the end
of the war, "Ok 945", means that individual survived until September
1945. The roster is only in semi alphabetical order.
