For many years, Ray Thompson faithfully kept the roster of the Seventh, and published a newsletter, donations only, to its members until October 1997. Ray passed away April 28, 1998, to his own "Home above the Clouds". Thank you, Ray, for everything you did for "The Seventh Material", the men and their families. We hope we can keep their memories and stories alive here for the sake of history and for our future generations.

I also would like to extend my most sincere appreciation to Squadron Member, Oliver Allen, for his inspiration and the materials to begin this web site. An active educator about Bataan, Allen has also written a book, "Abandoned on Bataan", with his wife, Mildred Allen. Its a must read for anyone who wants to know about what it was like on Bataan for the 7th Material Squadron.  Also, read about his talk with TJC Students about the "Bataan Death March", in September 2003.
